Whats new in technology?

Rumors of the iPhone being hacked. People have supposedly found a way to use the phone and internet without having to sign up for at&t’s service. There is also a rumor that someone has hacked it and is able to use it on other networks. If this is true, Verizon, here we come.

So it seems that the PS3’s price has dropped. I am definitely out of the loop because I didn’t even know they had stopped making the 20GB version. Well, for now, you can get the 60GB version for just $499… what a bargain! I also hear there will be an 80GB version released later this year. Kinda makes me wonder if they just took all the leftover 20GB’s and added them to some 60GB systems… Thats one way to get rid of old merchandise.

If you haven’t heard, cell phone companies are now kicking users off their network… more specifically, Sprint. Last wek they sent about 1,000 customers termination letters. They are being terminated for calling Sprint’s sucky customer service too much. Guess they dont like customers that actually expect customer service to work. Rumor is most were calling to have billing mistakes corrected… mistakes Sprint made. The customers have been given until 30 June to find a new service, or lose their number. Sprint balanced their accounts and is not charging them early termination fees. I guess if any had a bill of several hundred (or thousand) dollars, that letter was a blessing. Makes you wonder if they have set a precedent… want out of your contract? Bug customer service until they kick you out. Gotta go, I have several hundred calls to make.

Biggest Bug in the World

I saw the LARGEST bug in life last week. I am convinced its not native to Earth. I think it escaped from Area 51 or something… and it had a friend.

The morning started as any other… I was on my way to work, and I needed to get gas. Being creatures of habit, of course, I went to my normal gas station. Little did I know I was driving into a sci-fi flick. I pulled along the pump, and everything seemed normal. I got out… still normal. So, sometime between when I got out of my car and when I needed to press the button to select my gas things became not normal.

That bug was the size of a Volkswagen… ok, maybe not that big, but still big. I am not one who is afraid of bugs (that’s my fiance, lol) but this one made me take a double take. It was perched on the pump beside the button I needed to press. I thought maybe it was sleeping, and I could be sneaky and press the button… nope. It woke up with a vengeance and attacked me! It few in my face and tried to get my eye with its pincher. Then it went for my neck… it was horrible. Ok, that didn’t really happen… It barely moved when I hit the button, but it could have happened… my eyes were at risk. There was another one chillin’ on the ground in front of the pump. I think it was the first one’s bodyguard in case something popped off. I would have taken that one out too. Anyway, here is a picture of the culprit.

Libby Scooted Out Of That One

“You can’t be serious.” That is my initial reaction to the news that Libby’s sentence has been commuted. Ok, so it’s not a pardon, but still, he doesn’t have to serve jail time. I have heard the decision try to be justified by saying that since his sentence was commuted, not pardoned, that the conviction still stands. That it remains on his record, it is not erased as if it never happened. That’s all well and good, but he still got out of jail time. I am sure having the conviction on his record will not prevent him from leading a full life. Its not like he is going to be applying for a job at Wal-mart, and be denied employment because he has a record. “I’m sorry Mr. Libby, but we do not hire convictedfelons here.” That’s one phrase I doubt he will be hearing. He will probably end up getting a book deal, and then get his own television show.. He can call his book “The How-To guide to Committing Perjury and Get Away With It.” Then perhaps Fox News will give him a job, “The Libby Report.” Hell, even Martha and Paris had to serve time, who does he think he is, R. Kelly? (If you don’t get it later, laugh now and figure it out later)

What happened to the days when high profile convicted felons wet to Club Fed? I mean sure, its hardly hard time, but at least it had the appearance of incarceration. Not even an ankle bracelet… nothing. Well, I guess the precedent has been set, purger for the vice-leader of the free world, and get a book deal and tv show.

I’m back

Its been a while since I’ve last written, I know. So much has happened, and yet I feel I have nothing to write about. I have been to Vegas (for the first time), California, and continued planning for our upcoming wedding.

Vegas… well, nothing really happened. It was rather uneventful. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. Now I am looking forward to visiting with the fellas so we too can have an uneventful trip. Honestly, we had a good time… gambling was the least of what we did. There is so much to see and do there. From visiting the different casinos and hotels with the different themes, to window shopping at the mall and high-end stores in the Ceasars, to watching the fountains at the Bellagio and visiting the lions at the MGM Grand, it was a great time. While after a few days you are ready to go home, there is no way you can do it all during one trip. For those who have not been, I recommend visiting. There is something for everyone.

Like I said, i feel liek I have very little to say, so this post will be short. Not to worry, I am sure there will be more of my random rantings up here in no time.
